ELGL at Wyrd Con

The Enigma Live Game Lab will have a strong presence at Wyrd Con (http://www NULL.wyrdcon NULL.com/), a LARP convention to be held in Costa Mesa, June 11-13, 2010. In many ways, this will be our big public debut. We have taken over the presidential penthouse suite (incl. hot tub and wet bar) of the Hilton hotel for the entire convention. There, ELGL designers will contribute an entire track of LARPs:

Friday
4PM-8PM = M. Beauregard’s Speakeasy (designed by Ray Lavoie)
9PM-1AM = Casino Arcana (designed by Mike Tice)

Saturday
9 AM-1PM = Rock Band Murder Mystery (designed by Aaron Vanek & Morgan Joeck)
2PM – 6PM = Starship Valkyrie (designed by Christian Brown & Roselle Hurley)
7PM – 11PM = Snow White (run by Rizwan Kassim, written by Shifting Forest Storyworks)
11PM – 1AM = The Road Not Taken (v2) (run by Aaron Vanek, based on a game by Mike Young)

In addition to these games, ELGL will be assisting and presenting at the LARP Summit, running concurrently with Wyrd Con.

Topics include: “The Art of LARP,” a workshop on better role-playing techniques, and a propmaking workshop. More details to come!

    I pre registered back in Januarybut just saw the LARPs offered April 5. “Road Not Taken” looks amazing. Rock Band Murder Mystery sounds fun, could play old exrocker turned roady.

    I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the Enigma games that I participated in this past weekend. M. Beauregards Speakeasy, Rock Band Murder Myster and The Road Not Taken (v2).
